Made for another world

"If I discover within myself a desire which no experience in the world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world." C. S. Lewis

Word

A fresh copy of the Word in a little boys hands. It's one of the most beautiful things I've ever witnessed, little eyes and lips absorbing life from a page. Chris and Max picked out a Bible together this week. It was a special moment that took me by surprise. I was proud of Chris' leadership in initiating the purchase and of Max's enthusiasm about it. He has read it every chance he's gotten, starting of course in Genesis. He reads it in the morning and the evening, with just a little bit of help. It has inspired some really wonderful conversations about sin, life, marriage, good and evil which I'm thankful to have had. I'm excited to see the process of Max learning to own truth for himself. My prayer is that his little heart will ignite with a passion for God's word, what a privilege to witness!

  2. NIV Adventure Bible. He's able to read it himself with some help and it has great little notes explaining words, concepts and history.
