Made for another world

"If I discover within myself a desire which no experience in the world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world." C. S. Lewis

Praying for Beau

Is there anything more beautiful than suffering that produces faith which dazzles brighter than gold? I don't think so and I believe God would agree.
These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world. 1 Peter 1:7

For the last few days I feel like I've been holding my breath a little bit. My spiritual ears have been straining to listen for something mysterious happening. My cousin Beau is fighting cancer, it's a serious battle for someone so young. My Aunt Jeanne is vocal and firm about her belief in God's goodness and provision, but no mom want's to endure the suffering of a child.

However, I believe that when people submitted to the will of God endure pain, trusting in God's goodness, it's holy ground. I feel hushed and quiet as I pray for the family. I know that God doesn't ignore his children in such times, he draws close. Will you join in praying with me for God's sweet mercy to surround this family. Will you pray with us that he would touch Beau and show his glory. Thank you!
