How have five years sped by since that glorious day when we welcomed Max into our family?! He was just a bundle of precious potential, now he's a bundle of energy! Today is his 5th birthday and I'm astounded at the amount of living, learning and loving that has gone into the last 5 years, both on Max's part and mine. It's amazing how when I think of that day it's as fresh as if it had happened yesterday. I suppose it's such a powerful experience, ushering in new life, that it makes a deep imprint on our minds and hearts. This next year holds new challenges and experiences for Max and us as a family. My prayer is that we will meet those with joy and an open heart. Today I celebrate Max and the wonderful person God created him to be!
